Browntail was lying down in the center of camp. After the big vole she just ate while on a hunting patrol, she was tired. She closed her eyes and rested. She heard birds chirping. She thought, 'I wonder if Birchstar will choose me to go to the gathering.' Browntail hadn't been to one and she wanted to. She wanted to go see her sister and best friend Brightpaw. She walked over to Brightpaw and sat down by her. "Heya Brightpaw" she said playfully, pawing her ear and sitting down by her.
