[glow=yellow,2,300] Sunsetstar [/glow] Sunsetstar was by the Riverclan border on Skyclan terriotory. He told his apprentice Swiftpaw to meet him here. He wanted to teach him how to do border patrols since he haden't yet. Sunsetstar sat down and put his tail over his paws. He sighed and wondered what was taking his apprentice so long. Sunsetstar closed his eyes and tried to clear everything from his mind. |

SkyClan Apprentice The sky was mostly clear. Only a couple clouds floated here and there. The sun was bright, and warmer than it had been in a long time. It was a little after dawn. A cool breeze came from the WindClan hills. New-leaf was on it's way and the snow was melting steadily under the just-above-freezing temperature. SkyClan territory was brimming with animals, coming out from hibernating and hiding during the cold months.
A tabby apprentice was making his way groggily out of SkyClan camp and hurried over to the RiverClan border. His mentor, Sunsetstar was waiting for him, and he didn't want to be late for one of his first training sessions. His paws hurt and he still wanted to be in his nest in the appprentice den dreaming. The cat's name was Swiftpaw.
Once Swiftpaw was in sight on Sunsetstar, he listed off his complaints. "My feet hurt. I want to sleep more. Can't I eat something before we go on these border patrols!?" Swiftpaw had a pained expression on his face, but he really didn't hurt that much. He just wanted to get out of training for the most part. "Besides, what stupid RiverClan cat would come over the border when I'm here?" He smiled at his own little joke. He sighed as he looked over the border. He wanted to go places, not be stuck in SkyClan territory. He hadn't even been to a Gathering yet! |

Sunsetstar saw his apprentice walk up to him. "Now Swiftpaw", He started to say as his apprentice was complaining, "We need to check them And mabye if you stop complaining, you'll have a chance to go to the gathering. Now lets start the patrol". Sunsetstar motioned his apprentice with his tail, and started to walk nearer by the Riverclan border.

SkyClan Apprentice Swiftpaw shut his mouth as soon as he heard the Gathering tid-bit, but still pouted. He didn't even laugh at my joke! What a stiff! I think we need a better leader. Someone like... me! he thought. He almost giggled, but that would seem odd to laugh suddenly when nothing had happened. He came up to the border, took in the scent of RiverClan. It was so... fishy. Typical... they're so fat off of fish... He stepped onto the border gingerly, making sure not all of his paw was on RiverClan's side. He put one paw in front of the other, walking in a perfectly straight line. "Look at me!" he shouted. Then he teetered, and his body fell onto RiverClan's side. Swiftpaw didn't even notice. "Oh well, that was fun." Swiftpaw continued smiling, unaware of the danger and trouble he could be in if RiverClan came now, and saw him on the border. |

Sunsetstar wondered why he chose in the first place to apoint Swiftpaw has his apprentice. Because, he thought, i am the only one cappable enough to make him into a good warrior. No getting wroung, Sunsetstar's other warriors were cappable of doing that, but he just didn't Swiftpaw to get into trouble. He already did that enough as a kit. "Swifpaw your not a kit anymore", Sunsetstar started to say as Swiftpaw walked on the border line. "Swiftpaw!", He growled, He picked him up by his scruff and pushed him onto the ground hard. "Do you have any idea of how much trouble we could get into if they caught you?!. Now get up and I dont want you to complain. Its about time you start acting your age and not like a little kit!". Sunsetstar growled a little more but more quitley. He couldn't stop from getting frustated. The apprentice had to grow up. He sprayed the boarder and walked into the rocky terriotroy with Swiftpaw to the Windclan boarder.

SkyClan Apprentice [/u][/right] Swiftpaw growled back. His eyes stared back challengingly. He didn't care that this was his leader. "Maybe you've forgotten that I was a kit a few days ago! I was just acting like myself. Not to mention, I don't scent a RiverClan cat anywhere near here! So get off my tail! I'd be careful if they were around. But they're not so why does it matter? I'm just fine by myself!" he said and then spat. Before his leader could answer, he turned around and ran off. Tears were threatening as he ran, but he didn't care. Just don't follow me. Leave me alone. ((Sorry it's not longer, I have to go to bed. You can go after him if you like.)) |

Sunsetstar didn't know really what to say. Instead a small growl came up from his throat. "Well still", He started to say, "You might want to act a little more mature if you want others to take you seriously". Sunsetstar was angry. "You should still be careful Swiftpaw!". He curved his claws into the ground angrly as Swiftpaw ran off. Sunsetstar took a deep breath, and started to run after him.
