Serpentpaw watched as Swiftpaw tried to find the right words.He felt the wind brush his fur and felt slightly chilled as it touched his long scar by his eye.He thought back to that terrible day.They had been hunting and Sunsetstar was pleased with his progress.Swiftpaw in raged tried to out do him.Serpentpaw could not believe that Sunsetstar could not see the hostility between them back then.When she had asked them to fight,which was a very mouse brained decision that proved that she had not really been paying attention.Things had gone wrong quickly and ended with his scar.A forever reminder of there rivalry.
He snapped back to the preasent as Swiftpaw sincerly said he was sorry.He dipped his head and walked over to him and put his tail on his shoulder."I know you are, and I know we have our diffrences, but lets be friends ok."He smiled,but eventhough he would never forget that day, he could forgive Swiftpaw.If he did not want to be friends then Serpentpaw would forever be his sworn foe, because it would prove Swiftpaw`s hate towards him.

SkyClan Apprentice [/i][/u][/right] Swiftpaw was lost. So many things were going wrong. So many things were going not as planned. As he felt fur touch his shoulder, he looked up at Serpentpaw. Swiftpaw's eyes were wet and glazed.
"I know you are, and I know we have our diffrences, but lets be friends ok." [/i] Swiftpaw nodded once, and forced a smile. Then he turned, found a mouse and killed it -- just so he wouldn't return empty-handed -- and headed back towards the group. The world swirled, and Swiftpaw found that his dizziness was causing him to walk crookedly. He forced himself to concentrate on going on a straight line. What happened between Serpentpaw and him was going to be a secret, and Swiftpaw was fairly sure that was how it would be for a long while.[/center] |

Sunsetstar

Sunsetstar sighed. He wanted those two apprentices to get along. He was glad when they made up. He looked at Swiftpaw out of the corner of his eye. He felt guilt deep in his stomach. He was paying so much attention to Serpentpaw than his actual apprentice. He wasn't giving Swiftpaw any encouragements. He felt so awful. He had been a horrible mentor so far. It seemed like he couldn't relate to anyone anymore.

Satisfied that his quarrel with Swiftpaw was no at least postponed,Serpentpaw walked back to the others.He felt very proud of himself for confronting Swiftpaw.Besides some cat was bound to tell him how badly he acted anyway.Serpentpaw wanted to avoid any unnessasary battles.Skyclan was just starting to recover.The last thing the clan needed was a problem within the clan itself.His left eye twitched.His scar was still pink and new.It had only been a few days ago that he had been released from the medicine den.
Diverting his thoughts he thought about his training.He was now 12 moons,and still an apprentice.After many moons and three diffrent mentors including the leader himself,Serpentpaw had learned alot.Granted he still had much to learn still,but he had some experience that few others besides Swiftpaw have ever had.
His thoughts once again fled to his surroundings.He smelt a rabbit ironically enough.It had just come from Windclan territory by the scent of it.Imediatly he ducked into a balanced and practiced hunters crouch.Paw by paw he crept closer to it.His tai; flicked slightly in anticipation of its taste.When he felt he was close enough he leapt towards it.His claws snagged it and he pulled it towards him to kill it before it could shriek.He gathered it and went back to the others."Shall we continue with the patrol?"He buried his rabbit,and would collect it later after the patrol.

[glow=orange,2,300] [shadow=yellow,left,300]Sunsetstar [/shadow][/glow] Sunsetstar nodded at Serpentpaws question. He wanted to have some time alone with Swiftpaw to apolagize. "Feathersong dont you need to gather some herbs? Why dont you take Serpentpaw with you. Oh and Sanddune you can go to. You two can go hunting while helping Feathersong get some new herbs". He smiled as Sanddune nodded and leaded Serpentpaw and Feathertail down the rocky mountain. "Be careful!", he said, "We'll meet back here at about mid- day ok?". He whistled when they were gone. He was seeing a maginficent view. They were ontop of a mountain peak on their territory. "Beautiful view isn't it Swiftpaw?", he said. When he heard no answer he sighed. He turned back to Swiftpaw and looked him in his eyes. "Look Swiftpaw. I'm really sorry about everything, ok? I'm not good at relating to anyone very well. What about we just start over ok?". He sighed again and tried once more. "I wouldn't have appointed myself your mentor if I didn't want you as my apprentice". He waited a couple of moments and waited hopefully for him to reply. [glow=yellow,2,300] Sanddune[/glow] Sanddune nodded to Sunsetstars question. He knew that his leader wanted to make up with his apprentice. He looked at Serpentpaw as he lead them down the hill, near a shady grassy feild. "Want to battle train as Feathersong colects herbs Serpentpaw?". He turned to Feathersong. "Feathersong will you find the herbs you want here?". He sat down and wrapped his sand colored tail over his paws. |

Sorry about the delay. My computer's virus made it so I couldn't get on. Shall we just say Feathersong collected her herbs and Swiftpaw pretended like he didn't care that Sunsetstar wasn't paying attention to him? SORRY AGAIN!
