Resting and Waiting

Dovefeather poked her head out to look at Leafshine. Dovefeather knew all of the members of RiverClan very well. She knew Leafshine, and she was typically very bubbly and fun. But today... she just seemed sad. The medicine cat was worried. Dovefeather walked up to Leafshine.

"What's wrong, dear Leafshine?" She mewed, hoping the already depressed cat didn't accuse her of invading her privacy. Whisperwind glanced at Duskstar worriedly. Whisperwind came up to Leafshine, only to have her path stopped by Dovefeather.

"I appreciate the thought, Whisperwind, but please, go attend to your kits." She mewed gently to Whisperwind, who nodded, and she dragged her weary self back to the nursery.

Leafshine held her head. She didn't know why she was acting all crazy. Or why she was so sad over a crush. She was just afraid he wouldn't like her the way she liked him. They had always been like best friends. She knew him very well. Well enough to know that his kitthood and apprenticeship was very sad. Because of deaths. 'Come on Leafshine! Stop thinking crazy! So if he dosn't like you it isn't the end of the world'. She lifted her head. "I.....I.....I dont know", she stuttered. She had this problem of stuttering when she was lying. Because she knew what was wroung. And Dovefeather knew her very well. Leafshine was usuaully happy and bubbly, but not right now.
